{bedroom reality}

Hi there and Happy Sunday:)

I have dreams of a really lovely bedroom. One that is cozy and happy with really pretty bed linens!
Maybe something like this... I absolutely love that bedroom!
Now here is mine... not too bad...I think it's pretty cozy and it's much better now that we tore the carpet out! {Actually I tore the carpet out when my husband was gone for the day....when he came home it was all out on the front porch! Poor guy...I left him no choice but to put in the new floor:) }
Remember those frames that I used for my jewelry displays??? Well I decided to put them to use in my bedroom...I love those frames! I collect vintage frames and I have several of them. I think they do make cute photo displays...Don't look at the floor on the left....that will be our next project....hopefully we'll get around to it this pring:)

And NOW for the reality of our bedroom.....
Torn blankets and pillows!
Ruby will chew blankets and pillows into shreds given the chance!

Until she is out of her chewing stage there will be NO new bed linens for us! Until then I can only dream:)

Darn dogs:)
I know we should crate her but she won't have it. We tried and she barked so much the neighbors complained!
Remember she is a rescue dog and the people that had her before left her in a kennel for weekends at a time and barely feed her so I think she is traumatized about kennels! But she is so cute and she means well!!

I guess i'll just have to be patient while I am waiting for her to grow out of her chewing stage:)

  3. You have a great sense of style - the bedroom is super cute and cozy!

    Ha ha on the carpet! I did the same exact thing to my husband with our living room floor. He came home one day to a ton of nasty carpet on our front pourch. I am thankful that he humors me : ) Now we have nice hardwood. Yay!

    Ruby is such cute trouble : )

  4. Thanks for stopping by my blog and I'm glad to find yours! That bedroom is adorable! The aqua blue is so pretty! Ruby is so cute! We have a dog who chewed everything in our house until she was 2... but now she is much better about that. Good luck with Ruby's chewing! I used to bike a lot but have recently started running. After the marathon, I want to get back into biking more. I used to love riding so much!

  8. My pups did the same thing to my down comforter. Imagine waking up to feathers everywhere! They are now thankfully pass that stage.

  10. Ha, I understand the chewing of beds! We've lost plenty of sheets due to the chewing phase.

  11. How beautiful is that?! My perfect bedroom would look very similar, except maybe in seafoam green and not blue. I just got back from walking the beaches of San Diego and that's all I can think about right now. The ocean is so refreshing, and decorating with ocean colors is so relaxing!

  12. Your bedroom is definitely cozy...I love the light coming in, just like the first picture :)

    Ours is animal prints and it's really pretty and cozy but it's our free for all room so it seems to stay messy.

  14. I remember perfectly well when my doggie was in the chewy phase. You wouldn't believe the things a dog can eat or thinks she can lol.
