{mason jar love}

Well Hello!
How are you on this blissful Wednesday!?!?

Yes...you got that right...I said blissful:)

As I type this it's still 82 degrees outside and I am enjoying white wine instead of red! I couldn't be anymore happier if I tried!
I came home from work today and rode a very hot and sweaty 20 miles on my bicycle! But it felt so good to actually break a sweat outside:)

The birds are singing happy song....flowers are blooming....it's been warm and sunny........ life in the Simple Daisy household has been super happy!

You know how i've been sprucing up my deck lately...well I got the hairbrain idea to pot up a few of the English Primroses that grow in my yard.
What better pot to use than a beautiful aqua blue mason jar?!!?

Now you wouldn't be able to leave them like this all season...but they are cute to look at for a little while!

I think they are so happy and cute!
I also just cut branches with the saw and drilled a hole in them to make little hanging tags:)

You could also paint the branches with chalkboard paint but I thought they were cute like this!

Rustic and sweet:)
I think little pansies would be cute in these too! Really....any little potted plant would be cute!

The jars are also cute empty with just the branch tags on them!!
Sorry...I didn't wash them out for their photo op...but they're still cute even with a little dirt on the inside:)

You could use them anywhere!

There you have it! A happy little something to do when you get a little free time and feel inspired:)

Hope you have a wonderful rest of you week!!! I know I am counting down the days until the end of school so I can spend my days living in creative, summertime bliss!!!!

  6. Anything to do with gardening makes me happy. As does sunshine! Your potted mason jars are so gorgeous and you've inspired me to pump up my bicycle tyres and go for a ride. Unfortunately we're at the time of year whereby it's dark when my husband gets home at 5.30pm. I'm not a fan of shorter days!

And is that a lilac bush? They are really hard to grow here in So Cal...I miss them from growing up in Canada...they have the absolute best smell!!!

  12. Great idea! I love how they look. Several of them lined up down the center of a table would make for a nice outdoor tablescape. I am going to keep that in mind for my next women's luncheon.
