{the Deck}

Good Monday Morning to you!!!
And just like that we have a deck:) :)
Amazing what you can accomplish in a weekend! Oh....Ok....I admit...I had nothing to do with this project except the idea:)
We borrowed a brother and a husband and Friday night they set the main posts.......

So lucky to have such strong friends and family:) :)
I don't think i've ever seen such hard workers before!
Everyone came over early Saturday morning and worked the whole entire day!
While the guys were working .... here's what L.C. & Ruby were doing.........

maxin' & chillaxin'

I have to admit......that's what my friend and I were doing on Saturday....
I did feel a little guilty....since you know I usually have my hand in ....if i'm not totally doing it myself....everything that goes on around here.
But I tried to lift one of those darn boards and I couldn't do it! I know my limits.
But here's what I could lift.....

No....it's not wine:)
It's Sprite Zero...fresh mint...fresh lime.....and a little bit of vodka!
I worked on saving calories on Saturday....heeehee:)
It was actually pretty good!!! Not as good as vino....but i'll take it!
Here I am supervisingg.....
Notice....no one was looking at me!!!
I think they did their best to try and ignore us all day long!

So we just focused on having fun!
Thanks Michelle for letting us borrow your husband for the whole entire weekend:)

I am amazed at how fast it came together....

and just like that we have ourselves a happy little deck with an arbor!! It looks just like the one we have over the hoot tub:) Can't wait until it fades like that one!
I couldn't be any happier! Our pool area was just so crunched up and now we have more room!
I still have to work my magic on the space.....but I think it looks pretty good!!! We still have to put the railing up......but
What do you think???
Here's some of the plans I have to get working on.....

I just love it!!!!!! I can't wait to see it with the grape vines growing all over it:)

Not too bad for a weekend!!!! I think the guys should be pretty darn proud of their handiwork!
Hope you had a productive happy weekend:) :)

  17. I lOvE iT tOO!!!!! It is a great space. You really do have an amazing backyard...they are so much bigger in the midwest than here in Cali. We miss that! But my hubby is drawing up our plans for a patio cover and window trellis' and he will enjoy seeing you cute deck with pergola built in a weekend. Being a carpenter he likes this kind of stuff!

One more thing...you and your friend are too cute drinking your sprite zero's.

  28. How lucky you are to have such great family and friends to lend you a hand on your project. It looks great! You should have had them do it for one of those transform your backyard in a day shows. Love how the dog made a little nest on the lounge chair. Mine does that too. Have a happy weekend under your arbor.
