Well Hello!!!!
How are you doing on this fine Saturday!?!!?
I should say....it's not really fine in my neck of the woods....rain and dreariness all day.

But guess what....I don't care! The rain "forced" me to stay inside and spend the day working in my little studio!

Have I told you lately just how happy I am?!?
How much I feel like I am really starting to move along the right path!

Every since I've decided to really embrace my Midwestern Spirit.....I feel so much more at home with myself! My jewelry designs reflect that spirit more and more and I for one.....am loving my new direction!

I think good things are sure to come:)
Positive thoughts....right!

but you know what else.....do you know how much I appreciate you for sticking with me throughout my journey! I just love you for that:)
Everytime I get a little down.....you're right there to build me back up!
I can't believe where I started and where I am now.


Everytime I start feeling sensitive about how much I appreciate you {my readers....supporters....cheerleaders} It makes me want to do a little give-away!

If you haven't stopped in my shop lately.........well then you might not know that I have completely switched directions! You won't find many beach inspired pieces but you'll find lots of Soulful...Inspired....Designs!

I just feel like doing a happy dance! It's so much easier to be inspired when you actually look at all the beauty sitting right before your eyes...rather than spend your time dreaming about things you don't have!

It just makes my heart and soul sing to create lovely rustic inspired pieces of jewelry!
And I love that I can inspire others through my designs with my little handwritten messages on many of the pieces:)

All along my heart has been telling me that I should just be happy right where I am!
Being Midwestern isn't all that bad! It's kind of nice actually:)
And there's all kinds of pretty loveliness right in my own backyard.

Might not be the ocean or the mountains....but it's what I have!

No matter who you are or where you live.....it's so important to just embrace who you are:)

I am learning to stop apologizing for myself.
I am a bit of a recluse
I like my wine {sometimes too much}
I love to have my hands dirty
I tend to be opininated
I demand my private time
I am not a big fan of TV but music makes my soul sing
I not a girly kind of girl
I'd roll around in bread and pizza if I could:)

and while I used to tell people...i'm sorry I just.....
Now I just leave out the i'm sorry part! Beacuse i'm not really sorry for who I am:)

Well Hello!

How are you tonight!!??

I know it's been awhile since i've done a give-away....so I thought it might be nice to do one!!

I love to do them....it's my little way of saying "thank you" to you for always being so supportive of me:)

I can't tell you just how much I appreciate each and every one of you!

Simple Daisy....the blog...and the jewelry shop...has come a long...long way since I began tinkering around with all of this....and I couldn't be more pleased with the direction i'm heading!

I am really just so happy spending all of my days working in my studio.

and feeling super focused on growing my little jewelry business....

....any little {growing your business} hints or tips...don't be shy about sharing them with me:)

That is exactly how I feel when I am creating! I just so happy that I don't even notice hours have passed...or that I missed lunch. I am in pure bliss!

And I really hope this comes through in my work!

I am just so inspired to create happy artisan jewelry with all my special touches.
Turquoise....slightly beachy...very bohemian.... with a little love sprinkled in:)

Of course....by now you know...I don't do anything without my trusty glass of vino in hand!
Wine poured...music on in the studio.... {lately i've been inspired by Lucinda Williams thanks to one of my best friends}....sunshine streaming in {on a good day}.....pure bliss!

I created this necklace to remind myself that it's ok to.....
Feel the waves of life!
Life ebbs and flows.....and it's ok to feel every moment!

I've also been really practicing on rings and am so close to starting to list them in my shop:

Being self taught...thank goodness for books....sometimes it takes me a minute longer than it probably should to get things just perfect!

I thought it would be perfect to give away one of my cute little stacking rings....so that I could have the chance to practice making one for someone else!!!! Lucky you!

Of course I love the ocean....and so the feel of the sweet sea comes through in many of my new designs!!

and a beautiful....very thick artisan...100% designed and created by me....bracelet!!!

I L*O*V*E this bracelet! ....very organic feeling and hopefully it will remind you too....that you really are braver than you think!

we just returned from a wonderful trip to Knoxville, TN.

I was blessed with gorgeous weather and SUNSHINE...sweet sunshine for the entire long weekend!
I am sure you can imagine just what that did for my spirit:)

Spending time just relaxing always makes me take a minute to reflect on ........being happy and thankful:)

Yes...I have tons of goals and thoughts for my life.
But sometimes I really think it's OK to just be.
I am working hard on Simple Daisy and I hope it takes me far.
But I am trying to just enjoy more of the process and less of where am I supposed to be going!!

Maybe it was the two...yes two...Bliss shops that reminded me that life is Bliss...right where you are:)

Maybe someday Simple Daisy will turn into a shop .....

but if not...that's ok too! I'll just keep plugging along doing what I enjoy.

{Simple Daisy Give-Away}

I haven't done a give-away in a little while ...so I though this would be a great time to do one!
Kind of a thank you for letting me share my feelings in my last post!
I really...I mean really....appreciate your comments to that post! I even got some sharing feelings e-mails!  {Love that}


I tell you...this darn life thing is so simple and yet so complicated at times:)
Anywho...when we all share and open up a tiny piece of ourselves....we in turn....allow others to not feel so alone!


It helps to know we ALL go through similar thoughts...feelings and emotions!
It's ALWAYS ok to share a feeling in my book!
I completely appreciate you sharing your feelings!!!


But in an effort to let you know just how much I appreciate you I thought I would do a Simple Daisy give-away.

and you know what else.....after I had my feeling blue moment....
your comments and feelings helped me pick myself up and remember that NO MATTER what....life is really beautiful and that we are always in charge of our own happiness!


So .... on one really rainy....depressing day...I decided to get super inspired in the studio! {and ps...it's STILL raining...even as I type this}

Anywho...I hope to get them listed soon and I do hope you love them!!!

I've also been giving rings a whirl....
not sure how I feel about them!
They are hard to make....or maybe I am a bit too inexperienced! Eiither way...I think it's always good to expand your horizons in whatever you do!
Learn new things...
Be inspired...
Create daily!
I promise...It will make you happy!

I am MOST happy when I am creating!

Everyone...and I mean everyone has a creative spirit....you just need to take a minute to culivate it. Like a garden...it needs tended to!

I was having a major creative road block.....
and no matter what I did ....I just couldn't find my creative spirit ...


and you know what I did....
I just poured a glass of vino...turned on my twinkle lights and music.....and just sat in my studio.
I was waiting for my creative spirit to come back to me.

and guess what...it did!
Sometimes....rather than just wallowing in self pity or woah is me....get up and do something...anything....
move yourself past that feeling!!!

Here's what I was moved to create...

Happy little inspirational...tablets...if you will.
I thought that it might be nice to wear little reminders of happiness:)

And of course I started whipping up some new bangles. I can't resist those!

I am LOVING the starfish bangle! Molded from a real starfish and fired in the kiln.

Cute and happy:)

{fresh Simple Daisy jewelry design}

Well hellooooo there!
Happy Monday to you!

The sun was shining today and so I had much happiness in my heart:)

I thought I would take a minute today to show you some of the new designs i've been working on.
Oh I couldn't help taking part in a tiny photography session of the cute little sprouts of green i've seen around the yard! Greenery...finally....greenery!

Still lots of snow out there...but it's progress and I was more than excited to take a few photos!

It really is the tiniest of things in life that make my soul sing!!!!!!!

A broken wine glass....I know....can you believe it!!! It crashed on the ground while I was trying to photgraph the pretty green moss! Owell...another wine glass bites the dust......



So here's what I spent my weekend doing!!!!!!

I am so excited to see what you think!!

It's the first time i'eve ever worked with fine silver clay! No teacher...No class....just bought a book, a kiln....poured a glass of wine and went to town!

I have many more ideas swirling around in my head and now that i've gottne a feel for how it fires and how to work with it a little better...I know what to improve! But .... I have to say...i'm pretty happy with my first attempts!!!

This pretty little charm was molded from a real starfish!! How sweet is that!!!!!

Lately...i've been into peace signs....I just love how bohemian they are! And they are sure to remind you to have peace in your heart for whatever comes your way! I textured this one with some of the shells Chas at One Women's Haven sent to me!! I won her sweet little give-away!! Be sure to stop by her blog...you're sure to  be inspired!

I love this charming pendant! Very organic feeling and I hand wrote the quote!! I love it!!

And how true is that ....Not all who wonder are lost! I think that pretty much describes me:)I hand wrote the words and pressed real starfish into the clay before I fired it!!! Love it:)

I think they are just gorgeous! Simple and organic. Fresh and beachy! LOVE. I really hope you love them too!
