{beach sign}

Well Hi there!!!
How are you!?!?!?

I know it's winter and I should be showing lovely Christmas crafts but guess what....I just feel like being in a beach state of mind!

So I was inspired to make something simple and beachy!

I have to tell you this was so simple to do and could easily be modified for the holidays! {if you felt like being a bit more holiday-ish}
All you have to do is:

find an old piece of wood
find a font you love
print it out on your computer

cut it out and then use a sharpie to outline it
paint and sand it!!!

See super simple:)

See .....
anything and everythin beachy just makes you plain happy!
Well it does me at least:)
Is it wrong that it's only December and i'm dreaming of summer!?!?!?
happy...happy...happy

I thought since everyone else is kneee deep in Christmas....it might be fun to give you a little dose of beachy happiness:):)
Especially since we're gearing up to leave for Puerto Vallarta!!!

Oh and before I forget...
the winner of the Olive Rue give-away is.....

I can't wait to see what she does with her $25.00 to spend at Olive Rue!!!
Yeah:)

Thank you...Thank you...Thank you for entering my give-away! It makes me super happy and I hope it does you too:):)

  3. It felt like summer, today. We hit the upper 80s...after a week of highs in the 40s...very unusual for this time of year.

    Love the sign...and the simple (daisy) directions. You are quite creative.

    Can't wait for my earrings to arrive. I know my future DIL will love hers. Today, I ordered a pair for my neighbor, too. All your work is so HAPPY.

  5. Yep, hubby and I went to the beach yesterday...it was a wonderful break. After that we went to Snook Haven, a Myakka River side eatery...saw some alligators sunning themselves on the side of the river. Just the right thing to do before all the holiday guests arrive on Sunday evening :)

  12. You mean everyone doesn't dream of the beach and summer all year? What the heck is up with that?

    I live at the beach, well, really, really close, so I dream about lovely weather, which means low humidity and temps in the high 70s and low 80s. Hope that's just what you find in Mexico! Have a wonderful time, I'll be waiting patiently to see some beach photos.

    btw, love the sign, of course.

  16. Heather - you have no idea how much I needed that breath of summer today. :) Thank you! I think there's more than one of us out here that live in a perpetual beach-state-of-mind. It's where we thrive and grow and hope and plan. :) Let it snow outside our windows. We've got our bums in the sand..... lol!

    Love your sign, too, girl! I'm saving this for a winter project. Oh, and have a wunnnnnderful time in the sun and sand! Bring back some great photos to share with us!

    Merry Christmastide!

  17. Sweet sign. I too am wishing for warmer days, so cold and windy here, not good for walks on the beach.
    Enjoy your vacation, send sun our way.
    Merry Christmas!
