hello and happy spring!! How are you doing??? Are you feeling happy about spring too?
Finally...we are moving forward! Feels so good:)
I just love the renewing of my spirit I feel when warmer days and sunshine are in the forecast.
It's been a very long winter and I won't be sad to see it go! Onwards and upwards to happy sunshiney days!
I am more than ready to be my happy, chipper, inspired self.
I am ready to create some new Simple Daisy designs and even more happy to soon be wearing them without 16 layers of clothes on:)
I don't know if you've had a chance to peek at my shop lately.....but i've been working on bangles! I just love them and think they go with just about anything!
Up next....I am going to try my hand at happy little turquoise stacking rings! I can't wait~
Anywho....I love accessories. I think any kind of accessories are the perfect way to do a little sprucing to your outfit! Belts, jewelry, simple little things!
Here's what i've been making lately! I {LOVE} them:)
Happy little fabric rosettes:)
Perfect for a happy spring!
You can find actual tutorials all over the Internet but basically you just twist fabric all around itself! Some people stitch them but I just used little dabs of hot glue!
and for these I just safety pinned them to a simple white tank!
They make me so happy!
And I thought they would be super cute on simple sandals!
What do you think!?!?!? Do you like!
It's always the simplest of things that make me happy! I really don't need much in life.
And just because....
one of my favorite songs!
I always say I am such a gypsy spirit. As another month rolls by it really makes me think about my life and what I want out of it. What are the most important things to me. When I check out what do I want people to remember about me.
Life is so very short and each and every single day matters! I have just had so much on my mind lately. I think it's still really bothering me that my step-father passed away at such a young age and did he get to do all the things he dreamed of. If he could do it all over again what would he change.
I don't know....just a lot of things on my mind lately! Do you know what I mean:)
Anywho....I just keep thinking it's so important that we all keep a little gypsy in each of us!
Follow your dreams....
Live an unconventional life....
Have very few rules in your life....
Just be happy!! and Just Be!
Heehee! Ruby and LC just have to be involved in everything I do. I think they are just afraid they are going to miss out on something! Good thing they make me so happy.
I have a little gypsy in me as well..

Love your crocuses. So pretty! Love your bangles, stacked. So creative! Love your attitude. So positive!
ReplyDeleteHow's my favorite Lake doing these days? You can take the girl away from Lake Michigan but you can't take the Lake Michigan away from the girl. Even though I love Atlantic Beach and the weather and living in a warmer coastal town, I will always have a special feeling for Lake Michigan.
hey, that Ocean Waves Sunglasses is just a trial blog!!!
ReplyDeletemy real blog is Atlantic Beachlife if you care. I was just playing with that one; am not planning to maintain it.
i'm at http://www.atlanticbeachlife.com
i used to be on Blogger and I miss it. But i'm still out there, all alone, now.... :-(
Always a breath of fresh air! Two things: now I can't stop singing the Van Morrison song and I LOVE the flowers are the shoes. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteHi Heather! I am just loving all your new jewelry, they are gorgeous and so happy that you are doing so well and having so much fun!! Love the rosettes and what a great idea to put them on sandals! Your toes are too cute too! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was snowing yesterday here in the North East..., but I'm all Springy anyways!!
ReplyDeleteHappy spring to you! Your dogs are so cute! Isn't it funny how dogs like to be in pictures? Your rosettes and bangles are darling.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so springy now! Love it. Love the flowers, too. I tried to make one, but I can't get it together.
ReplyDeleteSpring is such a great time of year! I like the idea of the fabric rosettes... I've been seeing those a lot in stores lately. So many possibilities!
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely Springtime post, Heather. The rosettes are adorable and I want your shoes - cute!! :O)
ReplyDeleteYou're just so adorable, Miss Daisy!
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric rosettes. I've been making them too for crafty stuff - necklaces, headbands, etc. I've saved old clothes to use for fabric rosettes instead of giving them to Goodwill like I normally would.
ReplyDeleteThose shinny bangles are my favorites :-)
ReplyDeleteFriday's Favorites!
I so enjoy seeing the gypsy in you. You are my creative muse. Enjoy the fresh scents of spring. Have you been riding? I am getting back in it-gone are the winter colds, hopefully it will stop raining-so much for living in sunny California. I cannot complain as I have put in about 540 miles on the bike since Jan. Not a stellar record but it is a start.
ReplyDeleteI just had to get over here and see what you've been up to. Honey, trying to get enough stuff made to open my Etsy store is taking up ALL my time and I'm so far behind on blogging. That's a good thing though, I'm almost there.
ReplyDeleteYour stacking rings are wonderful!!!!!!! Plus, your bottle vases gave me an idea for something new. Hope you don't mind if I borrow that from you.
Then I see the ingredients for the tropical salad and I know all is well with the world, I finally got to catch up with Heather!
Enjoy Spring. Enjoy life. Hugs.
I love the fabric rosettes that you made! They are so adorable. I just found your blog and I can't wait to read about what you're making next :)
ReplyDeleteHope you can follow my blog: WhatMissLoves. I'm new to the blogging world!
You!.... Genius! I have missed so many of your wonderful posts since our high season is upon us in Florida .....but I'm catching up and can't believe all the creativity oozing out of you! First, the coffee filter wreat I saw from jmac, your little rosettes and those aqua painted bottles... so how can do all this AND still make such beautiful jewelry? Is that a little wentletrap pendant?
ReplyDeleteLovely! I can't wait for warmer temps here too. I'm ready to shed all of my layers and wear my springy clothes! ;) I love your rosettes and they do look super cute on shoes.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday to you!
where yu at, girlfriend?? You never go this long without a post. Everything ok?? Hurry back!
ReplyDeleteHi sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteWe've been at our time share in Palm Desert for two weeks, so I haven't been on the computer much at all...very unlike me! We're actually in LA tonight and will fly home early tomorrow morning.
I'm letting George watch sports on tv so I can catch up on my blog reading! LOL I've had fun catching up with you this afternoon. LOVE LOVE LOVE your turquoise rosettes!
Hugs,
Kat

The little fabric flowers look so good on your feet. That is a cute idea. I think it's cuter for them to be on your feet then on your fingers.
