{turquoise bottle craft}

Guess what.....the sun is shining today!!! And it's above 50 degrees!!!! woohoo!
The birds are chirping...
buds are swelling on the trees......
Flowers are poking out of the newly thawed Earth....
Cool spring breezes are announcing the arrival of warmer days....
Clouds are giving way to pretty blue skies....

It's a beautiful day and I am so thankful to be able to enjoy it!!

I've been just a wee bit stressed lately BUT......
Hearing of so much tragedy on the news, learning a friend has cancer, thinking of the homes of
the children that I work with have to go home to.............all of that makes all the day to day stress I experience in life seem completely insignificant.

We all experience stressors in life......job stress....financial stress.....the simple stressors of everyday life.

But it is nothing compared to the stress that the people of Japan are feeling right now.
Or the stress of just being diagnosed with cancer...
Or the stress a child feels going home to a home where there is uncertainty at best and abuse at worst.

Thinking of people who must have it worse than I do....always make me stop right in my tracks and be completely grateful for the life I live and for everything I have going on in my life:)

I mean really....is a little stress at work or a little stress about whatever....anything compared to what the people of Japan are facing?

I have been a little stressed out lately.....but I have worked really hard to not let it affect me. I have instead decided to use the stress as a growing and learning opportunity. Stress can help us decide what it is that we really want in life.

We can choose to let a little stress make us act in unhealthy ways...eating too much...not exercising....not doing the things that make us happy OR we can realize it's a little bit of stress...make a plan...and decide just how much we'll let it affect us!!!!!!

And in my stressful week...I treated myself to some happy little tulips! One more thing that makes me happy! I am happy and grateful that I am able to spring for a little bouquet of tulips! It's the tiniest of things that really matter in life:)

Anywho....I thought....maybe on this Wednesday....you might need a little bouquet of tulips in your life too!

A little pick me up! A gentle little reminder that .... if you are experiencing any kind of stress right now....
it too will pass:):)

So here you are......
Some happy little tulips to bring a tiny smile to your life:)
I even wrapped them up for you:)

Turquoise and pink.....a very fabulous color combination! I love it and hope you do too!

One of my favorite sayings I just stumbled upon....
"if you want the rainbow, you must put up with the rain"
How true is that!

You know by now.....I keep forging forward in following my dreams! and whenever stressors enter my life...it just makes me even more determined to keep moving forward!

Keep moving forward in hoping to one day create beautiful things that make people happy for a living!
How great would that be!?!?

What are your dreams!?!?
Are moving in the right direction!?!?
If not, why???????

Life is too short to be anything but HAPPY!!! Unfortunately...I think some people just don't know how to be happy. I mean really happy....the kind of happy that isn't determined by external factors!!

So anyway.....
I also thought I would also show you an easy peasy thing to do if you've got some extra paint and some simple little jars or vases on your hands!!!

I don't know who ever did this simple craft first....but I L.O.V.E. it!

Simply paint the insides of bottles with the color of your choice!!

And can you believe it.....hues of turquoise are my choices:)

See...pure happiness!!! It never takes very much to make me happy! Simple things...happy times with people and wine! Happiness:)

What makes you completely happy....what makes your soul sing!?!?!?
Do you spend enough time doing the things that bring you pure bliss!?!??

I know I was thankful today just to walk around my yard and look for new activity! And guess what....the crocuses are just about to bloom!!! You know i'll be checking everyday from now on:)
I sure hope you have a splendid rest of your week!!! Be happy.......and don't stop following your dreams:)

“Never let go of hope. One day you will see that it all has finally come together. What you have always wished for has finally come to be. You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will ask yourself... 'How did I get through all of that?” Unknown

  4. The tragedy that is going on in Japan surely puts things into perspective. The tulips are so pretty. I looked for some the other day at the store but they were all out. So glad you got a bunch. They look great in the painted bottles. The paint doesn't come off with the water?

  18. I'm wondering too how you actually painted the inside of the bottles...pour some in and then shake inside? And what kind of paint do you use so that the water doesn't take it off? Thanks!
