{Olive Rue Give-Away}

Hello.
How are you!?!?
The weather has been a wee bit crummy here.
I might be secretly wishing for a snowday for tomorrow....but don't tell anyone:)
I was recently doing some tinkering on etsy and came across the cutest shop....Olive Rue

I must say.....it was love at first site!
I think I must have had about a million ideas for her downloads....but settled on this idea!!

I mean really......who doesn't need happy little bags!!
I know i'll be using the big one for the beach!! I wonder how much driftwood I can fit into it:)
But really these would be just perfect for anything you can think of! And they couldn't be easier to make!!!

Head over to Olive Rue and pick out your design  {if you're lucky enough to be the give-away winner you'll have $25.00 to spend in her shop!!!}

Pay for your design....
she'll send you your download right away

buy some photo transfer paper {I got mine at Office Max on sale for $7.00}
Buy some cute plain bags {I got mine at Hobby Lobby for $2.99 & $5.99}

Think of some happy sayings.

load your printer with the photo transfer paper...and print!!!
Oh ...when you do the words....make sure you print in reverse!!!

Then get your iron nice and hot....make sure there's no water in it!
Iron the designs on....pressing REALLY hard and on a hard surface...not the padded ironing board!

Wait until they are COMPLETELY cool and then peel them off...

waalaaa.....
See....how easy it is to make things that will make you happy!!
I just LOVE how these bags turned out!

Oh and if you want even more detailed instructions...head on over to her blog and she'll give you examples of how to use these downloads, directions, etc.!

I can tell you...
I am planning to make pillows next!!

But how cute would these be as simple little t-shirts!!!
The possibilities are endless!
Ok...now get busy picking out your favorite designs....just in case you're the winner!!!

Oh yes.....the sea is where I would MUCH rather be!
But i'm not....
So i'll just keep spending my days creating happy things that are reminiscent of the sea...

ahhhhhhhh.......

Now for the give-away!!!!

1}   tell me what you would make with these sweet little images
2}   blog/facebook/tweet about this give-away
3}   follow Simple Daisy on twitter/facebook/blog and tell your friends to so too!! {heehee}

That's it!! 3 entries and the winner will be chosen using random.org.
This give-away will end Thurday December 16th at midnight and the winner will be announced Friday December 17th!!   {2010, of course}

Thanks and good luck:):)

  2. What a great post about a wonderful etsy shop!
    I love all her vintage transfers...especially the butler, they would look fabulous on tea towels.

    Following you now...hopped over from The Story of Kat blog. :)

  10. I would make recycled groceries bags from scraps of fabric and put the bicycle design #1181 on them. In Key West, everyone rides a bike and shopping bags would be very useful. Might as well make them pretty too.
    I just got a new purple Conch Cruiser with a basket on the front!

  11. I think that it
    would be fun to
    print my favorite
    sayings on canvas
    and then frame them
    in little frames in
    a group. I love words,
    so it would be a
    big group! Lovely
    find AND giveaway ~
    thanks for the chance!

  15. How adorable are those bags?! A girl can't have too many bags, but I think the design could make nice napkins or tea towels.

    Yes, please take me to the sea. It is WAY too cold here.
