{beach sign}

Well Hi there!!!
How are you!?!?!?

I know it's winter and I should be showing lovely Christmas crafts but guess what....I just feel like being in a beach state of mind!

So I was inspired to make something simple and beachy!

I have to tell you this was so simple to do and could easily be modified for the holidays! {if you felt like being a bit more holiday-ish}
All you have to do is:

find an old piece of wood
find a font you love
print it out on your computer

cut it out and then use a sharpie to outline it
paint and sand it!!!

See super simple:)

See .....
anything and everythin beachy just makes you plain happy!
Well it does me at least:)
Is it wrong that it's only December and i'm dreaming of summer!?!?!?

I thought since everyone else is kneee deep in Christmas....it might be fun to give you a little dose of beachy happiness:):)
Especially since we're gearing up to leave for Puerto Vallarta!!!

Oh and before I forget...
the winner of the Olive Rue give-away is.....

I can't wait to see what she does with her $25.00 to spend at Olive Rue!!!

Thank you...Thank you...Thank you for entering my give-away! It makes me super happy and I hope it does you too:):)

  1. very cute and definitely could be used all year round for lots of occasions :) thanks for sharing and i hope you are having an amazing holiday season!

  2. We are REALLY hoping gas prices drop a bit as we would really like to head south!! At the moment the RV is buried in snow!!

Personally, I love your beachy blog! Everything beach!! Beautiful job on the sign!!

Are you island hopping for the holidays?? Key West??

  3. It felt like summer, today. We hit the upper 80s...after a week of highs in the 40s...very unusual for this time of year.

Love the sign...and the simple (daisy) directions. You are quite creative.

Can't wait for my earrings to arrive. I know my future DIL will love hers. Today, I ordered a pair for my neighbor, too. All your work is so HAPPY.

  4. I really like your blog! You have some great ideas which I can use for my daughter's "beach" bedroom.
    Megs :)

  5. Yep, hubby and I went to the beach yesterday...it was a wonderful break. After that we went to Snook Haven, a Myakka River side eatery...saw some alligators sunning themselves on the side of the river. Just the right thing to do before all the holiday guests arrive on Sunday evening :)

  6. Love the sign!..and I'm jealous, have a wonderful trip.

  7. I love everything beachy -always!!! A perfect sign!!

  8. Great sign. So cute. And have a great time in Mexico. I love that area...and the beaches are specatcular!!

  9. I love the beach vibe - especially in the winter : ) That sign is too cute!

I got the package today and it has made my day! Everything is sooooo beautiful. I am thinking now about decorating our master bath all around that starfish, magnet & photo!

The necklace is amazing, I now have a new favorite piece of jewelry! love love love it!

  10. Wow Heather what a lovely surprise for a Sunday morning. You've made my day so a HUGE thankyou! I am very excited about shopping at Olive Rue!!
That beach sign is great inspiration and really lovely!

  11. So excited for you on your upcoming trip to the south! When are you going?? Take loads of pics, k?.......Happy Christmas!!

  12. You mean everyone doesn't dream of the beach and summer all year? What the heck is up with that?

I live at the beach, well, really, really close, so I dream about lovely weather, which means low humidity and temps in the high 70s and low 80s. Hope that's just what you find in Mexico! Have a wonderful time, I'll be waiting patiently to see some beach photos.

btw, love the sign, of course.

  13. how cute is that!?!? have a wonderful time in Puerto Vallarta...no wonder you're in a beach state of mind!
    xoxo alison

  15. I love the sign!! Perfect color.

  16. Heather - you have no idea how much I needed that breath of summer today. :) Thank you! I think there's more than one of us out here that live in a perpetual beach-state-of-mind. It's where we thrive and grow and hope and plan. :) Let it snow outside our windows. We've got our bums in the sand..... lol!

Love your sign, too, girl! I'm saving this for a winter project. Oh, and have a wunnnnnderful time in the sun and sand! Bring back some great photos to share with us!

    Merry Christmastide!
    xoxo laurie

  17. Sweet sign. I too am wishing for warmer days, so cold and windy here, not good for walks on the beach.
Enjoy your vacation, send sun our way.
    Merry Christmas!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I really appreciate your thoughts:):)
