Beachy Craft & Healthy Eats

Well Hello there! Happy Happy Friday to you:)
I tell you...it's been one of those weeks....I didn't know whether I was coming or going! Do you ever have weeks like that!?!

Well at least the weather has been fabulous here! And I am soaking up every moment of it!
I've been so busy this week that I barely had a chance to make anything special to eat! But since we all get super busy sometimes I thought i'd show you what I make to eat when I am too busy to spend time on a complicated dinner
Yep...wraps...that's what I make when I am too tired and busy to even think straight! They are healthy...filling...and super quick:)
I also made these!
Healthy comfort food....that's just what I needed this week:):)
and of course a little vino!

Lucky for us it's been so beautiful this week! Eating outside always makes me happy!

This week's been crazy because work has been more than stressful...I tried to ride at least 20 miles everyday after work {my ride is this Sunday!!!} ...we tore out our living room carpet and had new put in {yippee} and on and on.......
We all have busy times don't we!?!?!

I haven't had a chance to make anything new this week...so I thought it would be ok to show you something I made awhile ago...but never told you about!!

So cute....
No matter what the season....it's always summer to me!!!!!

So there you have it! A happy little beach inspired craft!

Oh and I was curious....
I thought it might be nice if you could see my jewelry on....would that be helpful???
Anywho...
I sure hope you have a fabulous weekend:):)
My ride is on Sunday and I hope the weather is nice!
I doubt i'll be ready for the 100 miles...but I think I have 75 miles in me!! We'll see....no pressure, right!!!!!
Talk to you soon~

  2. I'd post a picture of my super quick dinner that I made last night, but I don't think many people would be interested in looking at my bag of microwave popcorn! You're bad night is better than my best ;) Good luck and have fun with your ride this weekend.

  4. That wrap looks delicious and your chalk board is so cute! The carpet looks great too. I love the smell of new carpet, it just makes everything feel so clean and fresh! Cute pic of Ruby! :)

I like the pic of you wearing the jewelry and I think it is personal preference. Some like to see the pieces being worn to see how they lay, etc and some don't need to see it. Try it with a couple pieces and see how it goes! The necklace is so pretty!

Good luck on your bike ride this weekend, hopefully it will sunshine for you!

  6. I've thought about this same idea of photographing jewelry on a person or not...most of what I read when I researched it is that most people prefer NOT to see it on someone else. They don't like the idea of the jewelry being worn by someone else. Especially earrings! But I do think it is nice to be able to see how it lays while worn. I usually try to photograph it hanging in some way at least in one picture. Good luck deciding! You could always just experiment!

    Have a good weekend!

  8. Here's to a great ride this weekend (I am holding my coffee cup to cheer you on...wish it was wine, but it's too early)!

Your food looks delicious! I may just have to try these next week. And I think showing your necklace on yourself is a good idea...It shows the length and the drape...LOVELY.

Funny story: I had my gorgeous Simple Daisy (and favorite) earrings on while taking a nap. One came off and I could not find it anywhere. Thinking it might have fallen off earlier, I searched the house, the sidewalk, and the car. I was SAD. It was nowhere to be found. That is...until...I was undressing for bed. Yep...I found it...hanging from a prominent protrusion...just dangling there. :-D

  9. I can't believe you're teaching full-time and riding a 100 mile trek this weekend!

Loved the shot of the jewelery on an actual body--and a cute one at that...the cut of your shirt is an ideal frame for the jewels.

  11. Hi there! Okay, this is weird - the very necklace I've been "eyeing" in your shop is the one you decided to wear! Love it! I've been thinking about ordering it. Soon....

    Good luck on your ride.

    Hugs,
    Kat

    Oh...forget to mention...love the frame.

  16. Thanks for stopping by the cottage this morning. Have a good ride today. Webster sends his best regards to Ruby and says she should respect the new rug.

  17. I just know that you will do great on your ride! The recipe looks yummy! I have noticed that some people are purchasing those little black velvet "neck models" and displaying their jewelry on them...that way it doesn't look like someone else is wearing it...just an idea!! Love the chalkboard! And hope everybody is good on the rug!!

  19. Make mine with tofu please :-) And when you're done, come fix up my chalkboard. And my answer... long as it's not earrings, (or a textile creation) I rather like seeing jewelry on it's maker.
