Hello & Happy Humpday!!!
That's no joke:)
Is it wrong to enjoy a glass of vino after running?!?! Haha..
I starting my preliminary training for the half-marathon in May on Monday....
Ran a measily 3.25 miles and am still sore today!
I am always amazed that I can kill myself in spinning...do p90x legs {it's hard}...do 45 minutes on the elliptical and STILL be sore from just a simple little run!! Owell...that's why I am starting to build my base before actually starting to train!!
I don't enjoy distance running as much as I love cycling so we'll see how it goes:)
And.....

That's probably more the reality!
Have a happy rest of your week!!!!!!!!!!

  2. My goal is to do a 1/2 marathon in 2010, I am just not sure which one to do yet. Right now I do a couple of 10K's a year. We will see how it goes....Good luck on yours, I look forward to hearing about it: )

  3. Good for you! I did a half-marathon in Jan. 2007 and I've since had two babies in less than two years. Now that the baby is almost 6 weeks I'm about to start getting back in shape. I really want to be able to do a half-marathon again! Yes, it's ok to have some wine after you run, just re-hydrate with water first! :)

  4. P.S. - how is the p90x workout? I'm thinking about ordering it since it's hard for me to leave the house and make it to the gym right now with the baby. if I'm just starting to work out again will I die or can I modify enough to build my endurance back up?

  8. Oh those are great!!!!! There is nothing wrong AT ALL with having some wine after a run. Do you ever split your wine with club soda? I know you love your wine but if you ever feel a little guilty, even though you shouldn't, just split it. Then, you're really having a half glass. Or have 2 and you're only really having 1, if it's a long evening.

I have saved so many cals over the past 2 years from doing this. Now it's become a habit.
