{autumn grapes}

Here are the photographs from our recent Southwestern Michigan Wine Tour:)

The weather started out nice; the vineyards were plentiful with grapes and the leaves were just popping with color. the hubby and I were chipper...I have to admit...I am no longer in love with the darker hair! Oh well...how do you know if you never go out on a limb and try something:)

We did some serious...Ok, really the girls did the wine tasting and the boys enjoyed a beer:)We saw lots of cute wine displays...I would take either one for my home.

Of course, midway through the tour the weather turned crummy...Just look at that sky behind us.....NOT PRETTY! Anyone who knows me ..... knows that is not my super chipper face:) I am by now getting cold and tired!

So we stopped at one more place... where my friend and I gave up on the tasting and just ordered a glass of vino while we took a minute to warm up.After we were wined out....we headed for the Stray Dog for a little nourishment. Oh OK and a little more wine:)

On our way we stopped at the beach and took some super moody pictures of the beach in the autumn.

What a sad looking beach! But for us Midwesterners....it's the only beach we have:)

I also took some photographs of the driftwood looking beach stairs and dune grasses!! I love them both.

Everytime I come to this beach I am always lured to these driftwood looking stairs....

Well hope you have a super happy rest of the week!! For the upcoming weekend we are having an autumn, kid-friendly party!!! I'll be sure to share when I recover from having 8 kids at my house! woohoo.....

"Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing." Ernest Hemingway

  2. I LOVE your day at the winery. It's been too long since I was at one. SO, you going back to blonde or just letting it grow out? At least you tried it!!!
