Saugatuck, MI
It's just such a happy place~
I always feel the most at ease anytime I am near water! And even though it's not the ocean, it's still a blissful place!
They even have Bliss Street~Which is near the cute cottage with watermelon shutters~We don't have pecans.....but we do have seagulls~
What child wouldn't want to enjoy a swing on this swing set~
That's how you can tell the season is winding down....A pretty empty beach! Although it was a little early in the morning.
Saugatuck is the kind of place that really makes me want to own a boat~
We were super happy~
Even if I am still not used to my hair!
I don't think I could have been any happier this past weekend~My heart was happy~
Where is your favorite place by the water?!?!?
"To find your own way is to follow your bliss. This involves analysis, watching yourself and seeing where real deep bliss is- - not the quick little excitement, but real deep, life-filling bliss." Joseph Campbell
Your hair looks AWESOME. Wow. Loved this post, pretty pics. I would like it there in MI at that place. I love being near the water too, relaxing by a tiki bar or on the sandbar. Or even just a quaint little joint right on the beach. Destin, Islamorada....just to name a few.
ReplyDeleteI always love your quotes at the end of your posts :) Hope you are having a great day!
ReplyDeleteI want to live on Bliss Street in a cute little cottage. I would paint my cottage pink and serve drinks every day to my neighbors. (oh to dream!)
ReplyDeleteI think your hair is great. But I totally know what you are going through. I am a blond. But it's getting darker the older I get. So I went dark for about a year. DARK DARK. And it just didn't fit my personality. So back to blond.
My advice is to give it some time and see if fits you before you decide to change it.
Saugatuck..., the name sounds so New England! I guess I have to accept the fact too that summer's gone..., and I'm dreaming of a place in a warmer climate!
ReplyDeleteHmmm I always thought I was an ocean girl but now I'm appreciating lakes more. My husband and I spent a week at Big Bear Lake in CA and it was bliss.
ReplyDeleteSaugatuck rocks! And how crazy that you are from around these parts. I went to college in Mishawaka - about 10 minutes from ND!
